Tearah: What did you want to be growing up?

Key: “The garbage man…  because I thought it looked really fun to ride on the back of the truck. Or somehow deep down I knew I was going to be a teacher because I played school all the time… I also wrote plays and made my family, neighbors, and friends dress up and act them out.”

Tearah: What is your favorite movie genre?

Key: “Comedy… No hesitation.”

Tearah: Favorite book?

Key: “Wicked… because it looks at the perspective of the wicked witch and shows what it must’ve felt like to have a house drop on her sister and have her shoes taken by a stranger… It gives a twist to different perspectives.”

Tearah: What’s your greatest accomplishment?

Key: “That is a hard question to answer… I want to say becoming a teacher… Then I think, no it was becoming a ski instructor… but ultimately becoming a mom was my greatest accomplishment.”

Tearah: Did you play sports in High School?

Key: “Yes but no… It was outside of school, I raced, and skied… I was athletic but I wasn’t in school organized sports.”

Tearah: What was your go to outfit in High School?

Key:  “Jeans and a baggy sweatshirt…  With really big hair and converse high tops.”

Tearah: Why did you become a teacher?

Key: “Because it is what I am… I always was one.”

Tearah: What is your job at LHS?

Key: “I teach primarily American Literature… I have one sophomore English class… Staying sane.”

Tearah: Who is your role model?

Key: “My mom for sure… She had a full time job, raised two kids, and kept a clean house… She sewed, baked… She did it all.”

Tearah: What is very important to you?

Key: “Staying true to myself… And hopefully inspire others in a positive way because of that.”

Tearah: What are some traditions your family has?

Key: “We play board games every holiday get together… Go skiing as a huge family every year.”

Tearah: What do you think it takes to succeed?

Key:  “Personal determination, no one else can give it to you… A few tears… And a lot of laughter.”
