Whimsical music blares throughout the auditorium. The conductor stops the song, introduces the next song, and then the Legacy All-Stars. They walk up on stage and play a loud and well-played march. Throughout the auditorium, people enjoy the song.

April 16, at Simle, the Legacy All-Stars performed with Legacy students. The Legacy All-Stars are teachers and staff of Legacy who still play instruments and want to display their talent.

The All-Stars consisted of secretary Pam Peske on flute, English teacher Laura Wagner on trumpet, assistant principal Nadine Butts on flute, science teacher Rob Graff on saxaphone, principal Tom Schmidt on drums, choir teacher Mike Seil on clarinet, and global studies teacher Tom Bushaw on trombone.

Band conductor Mark Harold thoroughly enjoyed letting the All-Stars play.

“Its cool to have so many talented teachers and we can finally have them featured,” Harold said.

A huge majority of students enjoyed performing with them as well. Freshman Allison Bard thought of them as role models.

“They are so nice … They are role models to us, and they helped us improve the performance,” Bard said.

The all stars joined in on the songs “United Nations March” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.” In the last song, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” Harold put on a Jack Sparrow hat and conducted with a sword, making the audience, and band members, laugh.

One of the All-Stars secretary Pam Peske was smiling the entire time on stage. She played the flute.

“We had a really nice time. Kids were so nice to us, despite how rusty we are,”  Peske said.
